On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina - Fayetteville: Reviews & Ratings
Food was pretty good, server was friendly and attentive. Table could have used a cleaning but I was by myself so just sat in the clean spot. Porch floor could use a cleaning there was something that had been there a while under my table. As I walked in a customer was being very mad with a manager who was being very respectful and polite.
We were really sad when the location closest to us shut down, so we decided to make the drive—about an hour—to the Fayetteville location, and it was totally worth it! We went on Mother’s Day, and I wish I could remember our server’s name because he was absolutely amazing. He didn’t even write anything down and still got our entire order right, which was super impressive. The chips were fresh and delicious, the food came out hot and flavorful, and the atmosphere was great—relaxed and welcoming. We had such a good experience and will definitely be back. Totally worth the drive!
Run, do not walk, to On The Border and ask for Sabrina. You will not regret it. You already know that you're going to get a hot, scrumptious meal. (And those chips!!! I love On The Border's fresh tortilla chips with salsa or queso!!) But Sabrina took a great visit and make it a fantastic one, elevating our experience even higher. Friendly and attentive, ready to offer suggestions or answer questions, she's everything you want in a server. Having a girls day out with my mom was made even better by the care she gave us. Thank you for a delicious, enjoyable meal! We'll be back!
First time having dinner here at the Border. We ordered mango nada, chimichanga and carne escada steak skillet. The mango drink look and taste great. My chimichanga is delicious . The beef on the skillet has great flavor. The waitress was very nice but the order was not correct. She forgot the soup and the refill on my ice tea was pretty slow. Overall experience was very good. If you are in the mood for dip and chip and Mexican food, definitely recommended. Our total bills including tip was around $65.
Came in at 730 on a Monday. Had queso beef enchiladas. Flavor was good, food came out pretty quickly. I liked the chips and salsa. Their chips are enormous, kinda cool. I think there were 5 seated tables. I almost left because I thought it was closed when I walked in at how non-busy it was. I read some recent reviews to see if I was missing something. The food quality is just mediocre. It's not bad, it's just not great. I think this place needs an overhaul based on reviews and my experience. This place should be popping. Some suggestions: 1. Have your manager check in with tables (I don't think I've ever been to a restaurant where they DON'T do that, but I didn't see it here at all) then actually implement changes based on the feedback. 2. Work with your team to see what your own employees are having issues with. 3. Spend some money on marketing and invest in your food quality. I wouldn't recommend this place right now. Good luck.
We stopped in unplanned just moved here couple months ago from Long Island NY , The restaurants on Long Island closed down so sad , but happy to see it here in Fayetteville, NC .WE past by it did U-turn just to get a margarita !!!!! & Queso
